| Comments | :: | Hmmm. Just 2 of us were daft enough to give combe a go this avo despite the strong westerly winds forecast, so we roped Jamie in too. It felt strong on the hill but there were lulls and it pulled NW on occasion, and the streeting towards Basingstoke looked epic enough for us to remain hopeful. After tricky launches there was very little lift when airborne though we each maintained for a few beats before slope landing. When it calmed down a bit we played around on the ground a while then beat a retreat homewards when it went a bit SW! Fun to be out on the hill all the same, especially knowing today (or perhaps wednesday?) could be combe's last until next season. |
