| Comments | :: | Nice soaring day at Rybury! Good to get off the ground after so much poor weather recently - I flew for about 1.5 hours and landed as beginning to have ice lolly hands. Gusting up to 18mph at crest of hill around midday. Never flown here before as usually blown out on previous visits, but very pleasant - only a few gliders up in the air as most people out Xmas shopping! Usual suspects in attendance - Mike H, Andy H (longest flight I think), Chris J, our esteemed chairman, Roy, Simon, Darren and a few more testing new kit - Paul H putting in a late appearance just as the wind died as the sun went down. As ever top advice from seasoned clubmates didn't stop me going for a classic drag up the hill at one point so I've got a particularly intimate knowledge of the local fauna and flora. Especially as most of it is now wedged in my flightdeck... (repeat with Sion on Sunday) |
