Comments :: Must be something lucky about Fridays, just like last week, yesterday produced flyable conditions on Milk. Interestingly all 3 sites (Milk, Milk white Horse and Rybury) were being flown throughout the day. Rybury seemed to be doing best and at one time I spotted one glider at least appear to make it all the way West along the ridge from Rybury to Kitchen Barrow, well done (report please)! At one point I was tempted to relocate from Milk to Rybury but my natural laziness won through and I stayed put. The only downer was that I stayed too long and ended up with 2 rain soaked wings to dry off before Sunday morning which looks promising for Westbury.

Comments :: About 20 pilots got a much-needed flying fix after the awful recent weather - it was flyable from about 11 until about 3.30 when the rain set in. I started on Milk, hopped to a scratchy White Horse when the bowl blew out around 12, then after an hour or so flopped back over to Milk for gentle soaring until the warm front arrived. Wings also up on Rybury all day.

Comments :: Light thermic in a 10-14mph SW-SSW, max 380ft ato. Two PG's and two HG's up through morning at Milk, then joined by several other PG's in afternoon, firstly at Milk White Horse then back to Milk proper as wind veered, flew till sunset, air extremely moist leaving gliders soaking. V pleasant

Comments :: 8/10/2006 - 13/10/2006 A weeks great flying at Hotel California (flew every day). Managed to get 3500 feet above Cenes on one of the days and go for a small tour of the valley. Watch the SAT team practising ACRO from the air and the ground, too. Rich
