| Comments | :: | Arrived approx 5:30pm, after work, nice defined small but flat cu's and plenty of sun (and plenty of gliders in the air). Launched and headed for the trees. Found a decent thermal after 15mins or so, went to base at 1600m QFE (approx.6000ft amsl) with two other gliders. Drift was slow, and i didn't fancy going over the back this late in the day so pushed forward to centre of Hungerford, finding plenty of lift on the way. Arrived there with at least 4500ft...then wasn't too sure what to do next. Don't have a GPS tracklog so couldn't be bothered with a triangle. Just la-la'd around, very high, for what seemed like ages whilst drifting back to coombe. Lift stopped about 7:30; I landed on the hill in flat calm at 8:00. More of that please! |
