| Comments | :: | A handful of Thames folk enjoying the Sky surfers' hospitality for an afternoon soaring in gentle lift. A bit northerly in the morning, coming round to east and finally sea breeze kicked in from S around 5 killing all action. Usual heady mix of of modellers, PGs and HGs filling the sky. Good to see Mike Shippam back in the air after his recent collision with the hill. Personally, a bit of a come down to be back in UK conditions from flying Annecy last week (bumped into reech @ doussard!)... 0.5 up rather than 9 up on the vario and instead of getting to cloudbase at 7000ft, today got to the majestic height of 131ft ATO -as high as the communications aerial on the hill! |
