| Comments | :: | Arrived 2pm as it looked blown out earlier, to find a few pilots in the sky and a radio ham tent set up next to the Gibbet. Hill was relatively uncrowded and wind was fairly strong - making for a 'as much flying as you want' kind of day. Some strong thermals coming through although it did feel fairly rough, limiting me to an hour and a bit in the air. Chris J and Sean S reached Andover. The radio hams managed to reach Scotland with their microwave gear. People were still being microwaved in flight as I left at 6. |
