| Comments | :: | Was expecting more high pressure mediocraty, so much so that I willingly traipsed miles to a kiddies fete in the morning. The smaller ridge to the West of the trees was kicking off well, but the sky was very cloudy for earlier gaggles. Finally high and with a narrow channel of sun downwind, but all on my lonesome, I punted off. Tricky and cloudy until Popham; More sun, but long, late shadows thereafter. But the sunny bits just kept working, and finally over the South downs, it was very gently buoyant - a bit convergent, but not really a sea breeze front. Landed short of the Chichester ATZ. Cold but happy, and public transport done me good, as did my upgraded Seeyou software which kept me out of (airspace) trouble. |
