| Comments | :: | First time at this tricky take-off site. We met up with Robert Agar who flies here quite a lot. Launch is in rotor on small cliff edge! Once away though, there is a very nice coastal run to Milford on Sea, about four miles. The half way mark is obvious, in this hot weather, as there is nudist beach below. once back at take-off you can go the opposite way towards Christchurch. This is also remarkable, in as much as sometimes you have to avoid missiles being thrown at you from a local residents cliff top garden! Fortunately he wasn't around yesterday. The local club, the mighty Wessex, are very friendly and helpful towards newcomers. Site is rated CP + 25hours and well worth a visit if you fancy some uncrowded, non thermic, smooth but adventurous flying. But please contact the club first. |
