Comments :: So Liddington on Sunday and after a long day parawaiting and watching I nearly gave up. I was packing up when the clouds changed, things were were improving and wind changed direction and stayed fairly constant NW'ly to be on the hill. The earlier waves of the afternoon also cleared but was still cloudy then this cleared a bit and the sun came out. It was still a fairly strong wind, a bit thermic but dampened by a little top cover. As it was the evening I thought it was going to be a little less rough and not overly gusty. The first few flights were still rough so sat out another hour and then it became very buoyant and what thermals were around became usable for a hour's flying maxing out at 1500' amsl. A few pilots go away chasing a thermal. So in summary a day of two halves and challenging but nice evening.
