| Comments | :: | Made an annual pigrilmage to this splendiferous coastal site on the Gower peninsula,turned out to be one of those classic Rhossilli days. Enroute the M4 corridoor up to Swansea was claggy as per RASP, however upon passing the town and onto the coast road it was evident the site was bathed in the blue skies. Mid morning 8mph NNW wind allowed for some cliff soaring, gratefully this was replaced by midday with true westerlies at 12-18 mph - purrfic. 30 ish wings enjoying heights of 500 - 800ft above the trig point launch and along the entire ridge length, never crowded despite plentyfull tandems and a couple of hangies. Departed for home after landing into a scenic sunset having enjoyed a day observing consumate airmanship flying amongst friends from clubs many southern UK clubs. |
